Letters for Gender-Affirming Care
Letters to access gender affirming care are a statement that inform the required parties that a client is ready and able to provide informed consent for treatment. Many insurance companies, and World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) recommends or requires letters to access services. Letters include a psychosocial assessment and an explanation that the client has met criteria for surgery or hormone replacement therapy (HRT). If you are interested in receiving a gender affirming letter to access healthcare, please see below to find more information about the process.
