Your Queer Therapist in Colorado

In the work that I do with clients, I am committed to providing anti-oppressive care that is rooted in liberation and social justice. As an LGBTQ therapist, I specialize in affirming therapy and LGBTQ counseling, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all identities. I utilize a variety of evidence-based practices and trauma-informed therapy, recognizing the importance of trauma informed care in healing. At my core, I am a therapist who honors your unique story and recognizes the transformative power of reclaiming that story as your own.

  • Honors that you are the expert of your own lived experience

  • A queer therapist who you don’t have to explain it *all* too

  • A collaborative approach where you can laugh, cry, swear, and anything in-between (I’ll join you in it!)

  • A therapist who acknowledges there is no one size fits all to healing; I utilize a holistic approach rooted in attachment based, trauma-informed, parts work, person-centered therapy

  • A therapist who works within a systems and social justice framework. What does this mean? That I acknowledge who you are as a person and how existing within systems that are not always made for you inherently impacts your well-being

  • You are looking for someone who is human.

My journey to become a therapist wasn’t linear, I’ve worked in a variety of settings in community mental health, case management, and program development for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on an agency-wide level. Across my career, I noticed a theme; no matter the circumstance human beings strive for connection with themselves and the world around them. I ground my work as a therapist in creating this connective space.

As a non-binary, transgender, LGBTQ, and gender-affirming therapist, I am so passionate about providing care within the LBGTQ community in Denver and Colorado. I understand the difficulty of finding a provider with shared lived experience, and can offer an affirming space.

I am a trans, non-binary, white, able-bodied human trying to figure out how to show up in this world too! In my professional and personal life, I operate from a social justice lens that recognizes the ways systems of oppression (yes, even our mental health systems!) marginalize individuals and communities. I am passionate about the work that I do, about being an authentic human, and about showing up as my full self. When I am not at work, I enjoy powder days on the slopes, writing creatively, and venturing outside. The mountains are where I practice my own self-care. I live in Denver Colorado with my partner and our two pups.
